Business Advisors Jesper Zeuthen, D.Sc. Jesper is one of the absolute leading successful life science entrepreneurs and venture people in Scandinavia. His accomplishments include heading of the Bankinvest Lifescience group since its inception where he oversaw the raising of a number of funds in the aggregated of $650 million. He is also co-founder of Genmab in 1998 and Topotarget in 2001, and subsequently Chairman of the Boards. Jesper Zeuthen took both companies public on the Danish stock exchange and raised $40 mill. respectively $50 mill. Jesper Zeuthen did a number of significant trade deals including sale of KuDOS to AstraZeneca in January 2006 for 210 mill. USD, which was nominated to the deal of the year in the UK. Jesper Zeuthen served for four years as director of the Fibiger Institute which later became the Institute of Cancer Biology of the Danish Cancer Society, where he worked with Kristian Helin which later became the new director of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Centre in Copenhagen.
Mostafa Analoui, Ph.D. Head of Healthcare and Life Science at The Livingston Group (New York, NY) and Senior Vice President of Business Development at Charlesson Pharmaceuticals. Previously he was the Senior Director at Pfizer Global Research and Development in Connecticut. He is also adjunct Professor of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology at Indiana University. Dr. Analoui is actively involved in investment, management and scientific/business development of nanotechnology, drug discovery/development, diagnostic imaging, and global strategies. In addition to industry leadership in biomedical and technology fields, he lectures and consults nationally and internationally. He has also served on various scientific, regulatory, and business advisory committees and boards. Dr. Analoui has authored over 130 publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and technical reports. He currently serves as board member of VirtualScopics (Nasdaq: VSCP), Calando Pharmaceutical, BPT Pharma, BEACON (Biomedical Engineering Alliance and Consortium) and NanoBusiness Alliance.
Torben Skarsfeldt, D.Sc. Torben Skarsfeldt, former Director, Technology Assessment & Development at Lundbeck A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark. Torben has been with Lundbeck since 1980 and established the electrophysical screening unit in their lab, thereby gaining high recognition within the scientific community through numerous peer-reviewed papers in established journals and books as well as lectures at e.g. Copenhagen University. In 1998 Torben joined Lundbeck's licensing division, and ads to the team the experience in negotiating technology deals as well as the experience of successful drug discovery and development. Torben holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Science from University of Copenhagen. Torben spends his life equally between New York and Denmark.
David Frank, Ph.D. Founder and managing director of MEDx Associates LLC, a healthcare management consultancy. He was the Executive Director of Business Development for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (J&J). Dr. Frank has led numerous acquisition teams, consummated major in-licensed and strategic alliances, divested and/or out-licensed non-strategic assets, and has managed a patent portfolio consisting of over 600 patents. Prior to his engagement with J&J, Dr. Frank served in numerous positions with Eastman Kodak Company including Director, Worldwide Marketing Planning, Business Development Director, Japan, Regional Business General Manager, Asia, Africa and Australia. He currently also serves as a board member of MabCure, Inc., a Vice President at OptCul Diagnostics LTD and is chairman of Nehora Photonics LTD.
